Because I am a drummer, I can tell you that your kid hasn't got technique.But it doesn't matter for he is surely going to improve drastically later.He has the sense of rhythm and I'm sure he is going to be a very good drummer!

You don't have to buy him a set, I already did and he plays the real drums, guitar hero is what got him into it...check out the videos of him playing the real drums.

Yes, this was shot when the game came out. He plays everything in expert+ but is focusing on the real drums...check out his other videos.
