this is a tribute to child actress Fairuza Balk starring as Dorothy in Disney's movie Return to Oz. It is set to the song Over the Rainbow, performed by Judy Garland in the original movie The Wizard of Oz. Enjoy! :)

actually, when she meets them here, they look exactly the way they were intended to look in the first movie, thing is that the original was given a bit a colorful make up and stuff, but if you read the books, the lion tinman and scare crow in this movie look exactly how the books depict them.

They look much more like the Jon R Neill illustrations in the original books than the 1939 film - I think that is why.

I wasn't responding to anyone's comment here really - just observing that this movie is truer to the books - I have several of them and grew up reading them. Both films are great in their own ways, but The Wizard Of Oz stunned me as a child bc it is so different from the book.

That wasn't my point, I meant that when dorothy meets them again they look nothing like they did before, which I think is an odd move considering Return to Oz was a sequwel to the first movie.

It is much, much truer to the Oz books than the 1939 film is.

Return To Oz is a good, if not a bit creepy movie but it differs from the original because the character designs are off-the-wall and totally different, Tin man looks like (and probably is) a puppet, lion is more lion-like and Scarecrow is more creepy.

Nope. The original soundtrack version has a different tone and Judy sounds younger. But you DO have a Judy Garland recording.
