Mexican Fender Stratocaster, The fact that it's made in Mexico makes no difference to the quality of the American Strats. It plays like a dream, any shitty sound is all up to the pedal I use.

Also, I've looked at the tabs for this song but I can't figure out the second chord you're using. In the tab it says Fmaj7 but it doesn't sound right to me, and it doesn't look like that's the one you're using either. O:

What chord is it? xD

Scroll down to the bottom of the tab where I've tabbed out each chord that I use, that It's Fmaj7, but the example that the website gives in that popup box is definitely not what I'm playing. Also, when playing the Fmaj7 that I tabbed, don't hit the low E, that shouldn't be there. Happy playing.

Love this song... but are you using a pedal or something? my Mexican strat doesn't sound like that, in fact it's worse than my Silvertone ss11... too much low end it doesn't get those great sparkly clean tones... Much too dark... and the neck is probably the worst I've ever felt but that's more of a preference thing... Saving up for one of those Signature series Jazzmasters though... the J Mascis one sounds like a heaven but plays like hell...<.<
