How to make a simple wasp trap using a plastic bottle and some cheap Coke. This is a low-cost way to help bees defend themselves against marauding wasps (or yellowjackets as they are called in the USA).

  • @theneeyo They would think that it is the entrance to the bottle

  • @theneeyo no. Wasps are very dumb! Along with the fact that when they hit the soda, not only does it get them wet, it gets them sticky. Wasps can't fly when they are wet. When they are sticky they won't be able to move their wings. Also you can't get good traction on a bottle, so as soon as they fly in the liquid it's gonna be a struggle to get out.

  • Is adding soap a good idea?

  • cant they fly in and out of the hole?

  • I like the guy in the video. He's so chill

  • i did what you said but didn't work

  • wasps like ginger more than anything

  • i saw the video cuz of the instructions on msn. they also said you could use soap and water, vinigar and some other things. and now to find out the pepsi challenge is a factor, my list is gettin bigger lol

  • I'm curious why the bees don't get caught in the trap?
