The recorder Antonini uses is a Fourth Flute, which is pitched in Bb, a step below the soprano. It's a wonderful instrument to play, but there's unfortunately very little music for it -- just two suites by Dieupart. I've also played one of these suites on a tenor fourth flute, pitched an octave lower, which works wonderfully.

@81drake81 Yes, and in French it is called flûte à bec - a beaked flute - because of the shape of the mouthpiece. It is a bit like playing a bird : )
