ET This Week looks at this crazy new thing called Video Games that were taking over our youth. Video games are now bigger than ever, but I haven't heard from Ronnie Lamm in a while, heh heh heh... If she though our youth were going to forget how to speak because of video games, her head must have exploded when kids started texting each other!
That lady looks like a man.

Almost 30 years after this segment, video games are still here and going strong. In fact, they are making more money than movies. Ronnie Lamm, on the other hand, thankfully slipped into obscurity like most moral crusaders who get some publicity and then fade away (i.e., Jesse Helms, Joe Lieberman, Tipper Gore, Newton Minow, etc.). Fuck you, Ronnie!

holy mackerol, westwood village 1982, (standing in front of the Village Theater) this was a 2nd home for me at the time. I once had all the Defender machines dominated with "999,975" at the westworld arcade both in Westwood and Marina Del Rey. Though i consider that time a renaissance for movies as well, when they speak of it as a 'slump' period, i disagree. Film was in an exciting phase of history, probably the last exciting period in cinema history
