You should be proud. I, too, have wanted to write a book for about 30 years. The other challenge was making a documentary. I'vew moved forward on that front. (You can see the trailer for my fifth film at regretthefilm*dot*com).
But you are so correct that the real issue is....Simply Doing It!! Momentum is its own magic to make something happen.
So congrats to you!! I hope this was the FIRST of many - and each is better than the last until you get that deal. :)
