The man was a class act...period.
-
He maybe was a dirty driver sometimes, but he also was very talented. Back in time a lot of drivers and not only Earnhardt did the bump and run movement. They were more agressive than now. You can see The Winston 1987 race with that wild finish between Elliot and him. In that race and other many races in the 80's you can see how he had a really good control of the car. You can't win 7 championships only wrecking people.

You know Eddie Cheever had to be scared as hell when he saw the Intimidator walking up to his car, after he took a cheap shot at him and cost him the win...
Dale, you will always be THE MAN!

This man was the reason why my whole family, including my Mom, gathered around the TV on a Sunday afternoon to watch Nascar racing! We all cried when his life came to an end on the final lap of the Daytona 500, not because we felt sorry for him, but because we felt sorry for ourselves. GOD SPEED #3!
