She's beautiful!
And she was 93 years old?! She still has a youthful glow!
Imagine if she'd never experienced hatred, she may live to be 200+ years like the Obas in Benin.

I love my 'southern-draw.' She is absolutely beautiful. We must not forget where we came from.

my great grandfather was beaten then put in a huge put of hot scalding water by willie lynch, i received a lot of old photos that were handed down to me i cry when i look at them but i pride myself on the collection of history, there are 3 photos of the real willie lynch next to a tree with a salve tied to it bleeding

I have been studying slavery for the past two months. I studied before, but this time it is with more and better understanding. I just wanted to say thank you to you and your ancestor for the heroes they were. I find it ridiculous that someone can be hated by the color of their skin. It tears me up every time I have to explain in a piece of paper about slavery. I will pass it on to my children that heroes are not (only) the ones in our history books. Thank you for sharing this video.

Brazllianaluv...thank you for sharing your family history. I will pass your message onto Ms. Rose. May I ask. . . is it possible for you to share copies of some of the photographs that you mentioned? I do lectures and write articles and I would use the images to educated people of our past. . . and I will not use the pictures for personal profit.
May God Bless you and your family.

Hello T/U #001,
Thank you for your comment. I will pass it along to Ms. Rose. Sadly, in part, I must agree with you in regards to your statement. Kids today, not as a whole, seem to be misguided as they grow up. Hopefully, with a good peer, our youth can over-come these daily hardship.
Best wishes,
Jack

Hisstoryinyou, Thank you for your comments. Ms. Rose knew her grandmother, Former Slave-Martha Fisher. Rose's grandfather died before she was born. She has told many stories that she learned from Martha. I do not have the exact date that you are asking to obtain. I will, however, purge my files and also, contact Ms. Rose, to get you an answer. I want to wish you and your family a Happy New Year. Jack
