This is my English/Italian class' accompanist. For confidentiality reasons, I won't say her name but this is her playing the piano and the melody of Music I Heard With You by Richard Hageman and the poem by Conrad Aiken.
When I have to sing a song especially for class, I like to listen to others sing it and see how they sing it. However, when I tried finding videos for Music I Heard With You, there weren't too many. So hopefully this will help whoever needs help.
Sorry for the quality. and Enjoy. :]
When I learned this song in the 1960s there were no "practice accompianments." We learned from the score until we learned it-the old-fashioned way.Sometimes we could record on our primitive tape recorders, if we had one. I am closing forty+ yeas of singing a in a few weeks and a finding videos of most of the music, t.e., Bach and Handel, to refresh memories. Each song will vary based on human factors, how one feels, the energy of the audience, the climate, etc.
