popular Irish session tune played slowly here
on short scale bouzouki tuned FCGD ie one tone below standard and so in the key of C. I'm playing a double stop style where most of the time 2 adjacent strings are played simultaneously one with a flat pick and the other with the first finger nail.

  • Nice rendition! What is scale of this bouzouki and what tuning do you use?

  • normally this instrument is tuned in "standard" tuning GDAE but for this redition it is a tone lower ie FCGD which sets the tune in C rather than the usual session setting of D major . This is a short scale instrument with string lenght [ nut to saddle] approx 20.5 inches.

  • Hey Irish people!!! Love form Greece!!

  • LOL, acording to DNA analysis only around 10 % of brits, including the English, are desended from Saxons Danes, Romans or Normans.

  • Does anyone know where i can buy an irish zook for under 200$?

  • @m98m99 By the way, this is an English tune from Northumberland

  • @m98m99 I can tell you are not from Britain, cos if you had ever been here no Scots or Irish consider themselves English, maybe British but not English. All you people with a chip on your shoulders, Anglophobic tossers

  • closest thing i've found to how my dad used to play it :) lovely

  • @IamDaReAlSeaN well the history of anglosaxons shws that any whee they invated , the first thing they did was to take their culture and language away and replace it wit non sense english culture which has no more than 650 years of history .

but sadly you find some irish and specialy scotish who see them selves as an english .
