    Something to know about speed: twice the speed means four times the kinetic energy. So crashing at 120mph is ~ 4 times more damaging than crashing at 60mph. On the other hand, dropping from a height, falling from twice the height gives you ~ twice the energy, and sqrt(2) times the speed - actually a little less due to air resistance.
