Live in the studio, Australia Day 2011.

You think that saucermen are gonna come from space and put this ol' planet right?
Well, I've got a little story for you about things that don't just go 'bump' in the night
They weren't no New Age nordic blondes - they were vicious dwarves covered in hair
And when they were through with the guy who saw 'em he simply just wasn't there
It was fifty years ago in the state of Brazil, and this song is about - WHEN SAUCERS KILL!

Well, his name was da Silva and he worked in a mine, and one day he was coming home
And he saw some little spacemen who were digging a hole near the crops that he had grown
They ran away and took off in a ship which was silent and glowing red
And if he'd only kept his mouth shut about what he saw he mightn't have wound up dead...
'Cos they were some perilous guts to spill, as he found out for himself - WHEN SAUCERS KILL!

He went on home and he was flipping right out, and he had to let everyone know
Told his family and neighbours 'bout what had gone down, and figured that'd be the end of the show...
But three nights later those saucers came back - they were two red lights in the sky
And the stopped and they hovered right over his hut, and the family wondered if he'd die
They hoped that the lights didn't wish them ill, but there's no hope of that - WHEN SAUCERS KILL!

Saucers! They were outside all night!
Saucers! They nearly died of fright...
Saucers! There were voices in their heads
Saucers! Whispering that he was dead...

Well, the family stayed awake that night, and sometimes they tried to pray
But the voices in their heads just laughed, and swore that they'd kill him anyway
In the middle of the night a shadow came in, went around and looked at everyone
And when it came to da Silva it stopped and it stared, and a voice said: "He is the one!"...

The morning came, and their son went out, and their animals had all run away
But two metal objects hovered in the yard, and glimmered in the light of day
And one was black, and one was black and white, and each had a tail and a spike
And they buzzed, and they hummed, and they were letting off sparks - a phenomenon which he didn't like...
Da Silva came out to take a look; and as he walked closer he prayed
But they jumped up and merged when he got close, and he was hidden by a cloud that they sprayed
It was thick, it was yellow, and it swept up the dust, and his son had the guts to run in there
But when he was inside he felt around for his dad but couldn't find him or the things anywhere...
They had vanished and the son felt his spine growing chill - that's what it's like - WHEN SAUCERS KILL!

Saucers! He was never seen again!
Saucers! Vanished from the world of men
So if you stumble on some spacedwarves digging a hole
My strong advice to you it not to tell a soul...
