Ocellaris clown has just started trying to host my flower pot coral after being in the tank together for several months. There is a large rose quadricolor anemone in the tank that they don't pay any attention to. So far the coral seems pretty upset and hasn't been close to opening up in the couple days since this started. I may have to pull the flower pot into my frag tank if it's going to stay closed due to the clowns.

  • will it kill the coral mines are doing the same but iam worried

  • @postopia1992 About a week after the first clown started to host the other decided to join in. The coral eventually started to get used to their presence. It has opened back up with the clowns in it. It will close up if the clowns start acting a bit more aggressively (like when another fish swims relatively close to their coral). I've read about clowns posing a threat to flower pots on reef central... but it seems like usually they will be fine after they adjust to them.
