The Secrete Service Agents knew there was a zero tolerance policy on personal misconduct.

Excessive drinking can warrant dismissal.

Does the U S Senate have a such a policy on personal misconduct?

In fact, we're more likely to see the party/media circle the wagons in the coming days. They can't be embarrassed, or made to feel shame, being devoid of conscience. Life is much easier for non-religious people (most dems) in that regard, there's a devil on one shoulder guiding them, but no nagging angel on the other shoulder saying 'do the RIGHT thing'.
