@UniquePhotoInc Well, I've tried to figure out how to "message the Youtube account" to get your email to speak with you directly. Can't figure out how to do it.
-
@beekayford Don't worry about taking too much of my time. It's my job to help! Feel free to message the Youtube account if you would like my e-mail here to speak with me directly if you have any more questions about the S90 or Photography in general. Best of luck. -Mike Z

@UniquePhotoInc Now you will really see how ignorant I am (I have a Master's in Elementary Education, but that's not at all helpful in THIS world): I've used P and SCN and movies, but have no idea about T, AV, M, C. I do have a manual, but it seems to assume a level of basic understanding that I don't have. Your explanations are understandable. Maybe a real world example of why I would need to use those settings. Don't mean to take too much of your time, though.

@beekayford Yes that is one situation that the higher ISO capabilities of the S90 will come in handy when dialing in a higher exposure compensation. All light meters in cameras aim to measure exposure based on a set luminance point. However when there is a lot of black/dark areas or a lot of white/bright areas the meter gets thrown off badly. A good example is a snow scene. Without exposure comp, the snow will be gray, but +1/+2 exposure comp will give more accurate exposures! -Mike Z

@amberwongxx I am not sure exactly what you mean, but experiment with different settings such as ISO, flash power, etc... and see if you can balance the light. Good luck, Mike Z.

im really confused, and need a experience photographer suggestion.. i have shortlisted 3 cameras, want assistance to choose one among them. those are; FUJI FINEPIX S200EXR / SONY DSC HX5V / CANON S90.. now I'm really confused to see which one is a better deal. They all have their own speciality. I want good image quality & movie. Suggestions required..

@deepshad0w The Canon S90 is the most compact and has the highest image quality. The Fuji has the best zoom. Sony has a pretty good zoom and easily the best quality video. I personally like the S90 the best because of the image quality, but you need to decide what features are most important to what you plan to photograph with your camera. Best of luck and feel free to comment/msg if you want more info. -Mike Z
