Many of the greatest Jazz musicians of all time are alive and among today. Will this ever be realized?
Here is Alan Broadbent. The most important innovator in jazz piano in the last 50 years (IMO). The song is "Consolation".
This isn't just jazz. It's some kind of religious experience.

  • I fully agree with your comments. Alan has been nominated for a Grammy for the best instrumental jazz solo this year.  The other nominees are Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, and Hank Jones. He may be relatively unknown, but he's hardly over-rated.
