Although the game music title for this is "Crucifix Held Close", the original name for this song is "Cross Your Heart", and it comes from Castlevania's own old arcade title "Haunted Castle".
This tune came out really good. Please enjoy.

  • Stupid question, but did you use elements of both the Portrait of ruin version and the haunted castle version? I only ask because there are background diddies occuring that I don't remember being in the portrait of ruin version that was in the haunted castle version. Either way, this is definately THE BEST remastering of this theme to ever exist. I was wondering if you do requests, because I would love to see "lament to the master" from OoE done by you.

  • @greencow123 It's not a stupid question. I was wondering if someone would pick up on that. I did mention it in the comments but not everyone reads those. There are indeed some parts I added into the PoR version in the intro, that appear in the original Haunted Castle version, like the 2nd guitar part.

I used Hypercam 3 Free Edition. Recorded just the video feed, not the audio.

Then I used VirtualDub with XViD to compress the video and add high-quality Audio WAV (so that when Youtube compresses it, it won't sound like absolute garbage - I mostly succeeded)

  • Do you guys feel this awesomenes invade you while listening to this?

  • @RPFeltz Wait, how do you mix OSs?

  • @TGMagus I got it to work now. However, my OS doesn't support saving profiles, sadly. Thanks alot though.

  • @RPFeltz

The Classic Spectrum Equalizer is not a full-screen plugin. Therefore, it is impossible to get it to fill your screen.

If you want to do that, you have to either configure Milkdrop or configure Advanced Visualization Studio. I did not know you were trying to get the thing full-screen, if I did, I would've mentioned you couldn't earlier.

You can save profiles by right-clicking the Spectrum Analyzer and clicking "Profiles" and saving there as a different name than what's there.

  • @RPFeltz No wait, I still can't use fullscreen D=

  • @RPFeltz Never mind; "Windows 7 x64 Bit,Winamp 5.81Works great, but will not save profiles." was said by someone, and it just happens to be I use a mixture between Windows Vista and Windows 7 32x and 64x. I'll check if I can fix this by using a different version of winamp.

  • @TGMagus How do I get the visualizer to be fullscreen? And why can't I save profiles?
