the tool for virtualization is Virtualbox from Oracle. The virtual machine im using as the attacker machine is Backtrack 5 which is a linux distro. You can even burn it as an iso and boot to someones computer with it, mount their hard drive and wreak havoc (which is why you should change your boot order and password lock your bios)
