hey i have many my old stanley garage door opener 1970s and 1980s, 1995. around 25 to 30 garage door open stanley. i like stanley old time but stop made in 2002. :(
I just took down one of these today. Its amazing that dinosaur lasted that long. I installed a Marantec. Its like going from a transistor radio to HD tv.
well, that's because the garage door enthusiasts all know how to do it. My dad's friend bought a couple Chamberlains and he couldn't figure it out, finally he got them done-after three days, lol.
it's still a good brand, and back in Stanley's heyday, it almost outdid Chamberlain's products. I really wish that when my grandpa's old house was sold, I took the stanley and traded it with one of mine.
I actually have an old stanley like this one. Model 2000 deluxe series 1/3 h/p.
