The Honest Cheat tells the story of Ace, a struggling musician. Ace's story begins with an ending. The collapse of his band and the demise of his dreams of stardom leaves the 28-year old guitarist somewhat lost. Ace lives hand to mouth with only his passion for music and side gigs keeping him going. He sees a future for himself along side his girlfriend Eva, but knows he can only be happy if he can turn the dream of creating his album into a reality. In an attempt to raise the cash he needs to finish the project, Ace is sucked into a con that goes awry. Things spiral out of control when Ace is forced to choose between his love and his passion.
