  • TescoVee 17 to answer your ?. Because we didn;t have camcorders or cell phones or digital cameras back then. Also we had little or no time to take photos or home movies! The Hollywood stuff was as close as you can get, without being there. I put this together to show what it was like.

  • I have always wanted to see the war through my father's eyes. He was a door gunner in a Huey and won't talk about it, respectfully. I have always conisdered him my biggest hero, and well, here's the proof. Thank you very much for sharing.

  • Good collection of photos, even though I think there's some from the movie "We Were Soldiers" included. Unless I'm mistaken, at 1:49, there's a photo of aircraft from the 1st Cav's, 227th AHB (my unit). The insignia on the nose of the aircraft looks like the 227th's. A silver bird with it's wings raised over it's head.
