  • Thanks for the info. Was just getting ready to prune ours. I'm glad I found your video!

  • I live in Costa Rica and have five 20 year old mandarin orange trees. One has produced, but the others have not. They have a moss growing on their limbs and look like they need to be severely pruned. Do you have any suggestions on how I could bring them back to health?

  • This video doesn't answer my question because it dosn't tell me what's the best time of the year to prune...

  • @94FIRE if they are shrinking in size and produce dry branches ,it may be due to over watering , or possible wrong timing of pruning. leave them as they are . we lad lost a few in Florida for the care takers did too much and too early cuttings.

  • Thank you for your video. i am from nepal i have around 250 orange tree but i have an problem to suppely water specelly at the dry season. do u have an best idea to supply water?

And some tree dies when they are 4 years 5 years old, and orange are some of them r old and some of them r young.

  • Over-watering is the easiest way to kill citrus. They are highly susceptible to root rot. You shouldn't be watering on a schedule, but simply when the soil feels dry. Stick your finger down in and if it feels dry, water. If it doesn't, don't.

  • Nice video principle Skinner, I had no idea one was supposed to prune trees like this, but know I know. I've got all three citruses, grapefruit, lemon (yellow), and oranges, but they don't seem to be growing...and I live in S. Florida. I think maybe I water too much..I have no idea.
