This animation shows the movements and actual positions of the Sun, Moon and planets within the zodiac and ecliptic for January 2010 in 1-hour time-intervals. Time is in Universal Time (UT). Zodiac and ecliptic is geocentric and precessed. Compare to the other new movies with sidereal wheel of constellations! Please watch the introduction animation (separately available here) first for explanations of the symbols and more. This animation can be used as an ephemeris, just click on pause to read the current positions of all objects. Created by German astrologer and astronomy specialist Robert von Heeren. Best viewed in full screen mode!
