  • how many nanotubes have we produced so far?

  • @greekfitercod4ever In the world? they are being produced by tons now.... a mol is 6.023* 10^24 ....SHIT LOTS

  • 0.000000001 is not small

  • @MaxAirCat that depends, are you an atom?

  • Me and a friend were discussing if, because of the fact of its super hydrophobic properties, if it would be useful in boat technology, to repel the water, having possibly less water resistance, therefore the boat that has a bottom either made of or coated in the carbon fiber, might use less power to achieve a higher velocity.

  • @TerragorDragon I never thought about it but I don't see why it won't work! Good thought :) Time to start your company 'coating boats' :P

You really didn't see anything wrong with this? lol

  • @nano2hybrids in stp conditions

  • Will it blend? That's the question

  • @cjlennon dunno about the triple post, oops, but... a hovercraft with large skirt loading makes a dimple in the water, getting up out of it is one of the problems for low power craft, but, yes, hovercraft would partly do the job. how about surface effect, winglets on the side of the boat to lift up, scoops to force water under the hull, should work well at high speed, low altitude.

  • @felderup hovercraft anyone?

  • @jonjonjonmw3 I think this series was made in Spanish originally and the voice was of a female. In one video of his; he mentions the work of bonding gold and nanotubes for gas detectors (I think) was being made in Spain.

  • @TerragorDragon there's many ways to reduce resistance, it's been found in golfball research, that dimples make resistance lower, by using trapped turbulent air as the layer in contact with the exterior air. maybe someone can experiment, but i'm thinking it'd slow the boat down. another option, is to inject air bubbles under the boat.
