Americans never run out of ammo or lose battles?
Says who?
Americans don't know their own history?
Definitely.
What really happened to Darby's Rangers at the Battle of Cisterna in 1944?
What went RIGHT?
Learn the secrets by watching this video based on an official U.S. Army Command & General Staff College (CGSC) 2004 report...Learn how today's Rangers must LEAD THE WAY and paradoxically be like Darby's Rangers of yesterday...
All here on this video, at high noon....

50 years later in Somalia, the Ranger mistakes at Cisterna were repeated:

The irony is if an equivalent of the WW2 4th Ranger Battalion been at Mogadishu, there wouldn't have been the debacle...
As a military historian, it has become painfully apparent that Americans do not know of the battles and campaigns that were not rousing successes. I think this is a great failure on the part of those who write the history. Years ago I wrote an article on the disaster at Rapido River during the Italian campaign and I received literally hundreds of letters and emails thanking me because they had fathers and husbands and sons in the battle and knew nothing whatever about what they had endured.

Several of the Rangers were murdered in cold blood by their "chivalrous" foes. Hermann Goering and ,I think 25th panzer Grenadier ,I could be wrong about that last one.
