FYI: NOWHERE in Canada would be able to clearcut like that. Canada now has the best logging practices in the world, we learned from those days. We easily now have the toughest and most demanding practices, and science keeps proving that.

The trees deserved it. They're evil! A tree killed my father and raped my mother- or the other way around, I can't remember.

my dad is the one driving the h-295 in the video ! in that particular area the replanted trees are over 30 ft tall . it was logged in the 1970s on vancouver island.

Sandi that is a problem the us need more Nuke plants.. but our liberal govt is stopping that and closing existing plants..More nuclear power.. its needed look around the world we are WAY behind opn nuclear power generation

They who pass the laws break the laws not just greed its power over all that is its gone so far that something drastic is going to happen if the people won't do something the planet or some other force will. As you point out we have successfully destroyed our very life support system, top soils dead, water polluted, air polluted, acid rain, mutant animals, atmosphere has holes in it,radiation abounds with D.U. wars & nuclear plants. Hi sorry to be a bearer of bad news however, the forests that are being cut down are quite ancient & their root systems not only stop errosion but they process the deep bedrock into accesable minerals for the top soil One Old tree has up to 40 acres of leaf surface for absorbing CO2 & exhausting water & oxygen.
The new trees roots do not get down deep enough to do this & the earths salts build up & the water table is destroyed other plantlife dies from the salinity & rain stops & deserts form.
