"You Are Too Beautiful" from film 'Hallelujah I'm A Tramp'.(Rodgers & Hart).
George Dosher (Bass) with Orchestral Accompaniment.
Recorded 1933.
This Sterno record is in fine condition and gives us a chance to hear the seldom heard and probably long forgotten voice of a very capable singer. There is a great similarity to the great Paul Robeson here. Dosher has such a fine, rich Bass caught very well on this radiogram.
I have come across him on other records of the British Homophone Company singing popular hits on their '4 in 1' label.
Rather a big hit in 1933 this one. Explore it from a different angle (although Pat O'Malley and Jack Hylton is very hard to beat in my book!).
This Sterno by George Dosher has NAT STAR and His Orchestra backing him

I love the Sterno label (though I had a somewhat heartbreaking experience yesterday when a lovely Sterno - "Fairy On The Clock" b/w "Monte Carlo", by Vincent Howard's Orchestra - arrived from the UK in 2 pieces due to some ridiculously incompetent packing.) Perhaps another copy will turn up someday!
