This video shows a set from the Seated Square Dances session at New England Folk Festival Association (NEFFA) Festival April 24-26, 2009. Seated square dances is a dance form that accommodates dancers who cannot easily participate on the regular dance floor due to physical limitations. It is also just plain fun for all participants. Caller Fred Wersan learned about seated square dancing from Rick Hill at Ashokan Fiddle and Dance Camp Southern week several years ago. For more information about seated square dancing, you can go to www.fprhome.org/sittingsquares.htm. This video was shot by George Touchstone. The music is by the Assabet Ramblers: Kathy Fletcher, Susan Lehotsky, Mike Roguska, Bob Phillipps, and Richard Mungo.
