All horses are different and some take longer then others, just have patients and they will get it.

  • Sorry if this sounds ignorant, but how do you ask for them to move their front end? I know he can on the ground, i just dont know how to ask in the saddle.

  • @caitycaitcaitlin that can be the most difficult part to some people. I can briefly explain it but i'll make a video this spring on a fresh horse to demonstrate. Even if a horse doesn't know how to pivot on the ground you can still teach them in the saddle. I start by walking the horse in circles so that all there feet are moving. So if i'm moving to the right i'm simply going to put my left leg into them and kiss getting them to move quickly to the right.

  • @caitycaitcaitlin usually this sudden jester gets them to move the front end. you can use the reins or a crop on there shoulder this works for stubborn horses. always remember praise and work going one direction before moving onto the next. i know some people use there legs to kick a horse in the shoulder but i wouldnt get in a habit of this because you need your legs for pressure points and leg ques. Hope this helps

  • yea, n the nice thing about them watching is whenever it comes time 4 us 2 train them they do it without a problem and no bucking at all.

  • All the horses in the back are looking at them lol!

  • @horseluver343 lol you are so right. thats funny. so serious
