Bardot was a nobody until she stole Lydia Corbett's style on a visit to Picasso's studio.
Even after she had found her (stolen) look, Bardot remained as needy and derivative as ever.
She was the beginning of the end for French Cinema.

French movies owned american movies in the 50's. Swearing, nudity and real life problems all permissible in even the light comedys. Not to mention hotter leading actresses.

Rien à voir. BB a un corps parfait. MM est artificielle, refaite à la chirugie, double menton, cou trop court, BB a un cou de reine trop long un visage plein .....et puis BB est la 1ere size 0 mm près de BB est un boudin.

@thallassocracy Take a look at some fashion show by Lagerfeld (or others) inspired by BB's style. Her look has nothing to do with Lydia's. Just because she was wearing a ponytail between 20 and 22 she "stole" someone else's style ? Are you kidding ? Her most famous look is all about "vichy" dresses, "cuissardes", Repetto ballet shoes, big hair and smoky eyes !
Anyway, BB is an icon because of her impact on the 60's society, not just because she was a cutie blonde with a good style.
