I agree. I would take the CSL anytime of the day.
Whats the point of having all that horsepower if you can't put it down to the tarmac without losing traction ?

@cutelookindoctor Your chipping comment is laughable - you think the CSL is an M3 with a little more bhp and a body kit? I can't believe the naivety if some people.

the csl also has no radio no air, haha its hard core not any everyday driver by any means.

CSL values are increasing and in the future it will for certain be a collectors model but for the best residuals on any M car you need to look at the E30 M3 Evolution sport

csl was a rip off price wise, 20k more than standard m3. You could pay 500 and have your standard m3 chipped to 370 Horsepower no problem. One car mag test showed just this and infact the standard m3 was just as good, if not better low down in the rev range.

That the e46 m3/Z4 engine won the international engine of the year 5 years in a row for its class speaks volumes.
An amazing engine still by todays standards ...one of the greatest engines ever produced.
