  • @Danph77 Actually i did, but not in the case of the AEG shown in the video. In some airsoft M249s, the firing switch of the gearbox needs adjustment in order to have proper contact with the trigger unit...

  • What type battery are you using in your A&K M249? 8.4 small or large? or a 9.4?

  • @MrMusic206, i don't have this A@K M249 any more, but i used to work it with a 9.6V battery... Thank you for watching and commenting on my video!

  • I don't understand why everyone thinks lmg's are support weapons. They technically are, but that's only because they are usually (my preference) stationary and box mags. If you see someone in a window and hold down the trigger even when they go into cover like in this video, that doesn't make it a support weapon, you're just wasting ammo and battery life.

  • Dear cche293, hello and thank you for your comment. Just let me draw your attention to the term "suppression". It may seem like i'm just showing off in this video, but i'm actually keeping about a dozen enemies inside the building at 11 o' clock suppressed, while an assault team is making it's move...

  • @cche293 im pretty sure it does? you pretty much just described the definition of a support gunner

  • @loubamboo You ever have a problem with the trigger?

  • @Puggy8D It's actually an ammunition carrier, as magazines (both box and drum) have springs that assist in feeding. On a firearm, it's nothing more than a sack that holds the belted ammunition. However, there's really no real steel system to compare with what the airsoft version is, so it has no "official" name.

And for the record, the Thompson's drum magazine isn't a spiral, it's more like a gear, with groups of bullets held between the teeth.

  • @loubamboo you are quite right in your reply to cche293 fire fights are won by obtaining fire supremacy and LSW such as the SAW enables you to put a large number of BBs down range meaning you opponents keep their heads down making it possible for your other troops to flank them.

  • @cche293 You, my friend, are an idiot. They keep heads down. Meaing that a volley of BB's towards the opening of cover will keep people from moving out of cover to fire. There for, suppressing them.

  • @LanOsb133 This is a box mag. A drum magazine is the term used for a magazine that has it's ammo coiled into a spiral, much like on a Chicago Typewriter. A box magazine has it's ammunition set in layers. The high capacity magazines on G36 models, and the M4A1/M16 variants are drum magazines. If you are talking about standard 30 round magazines, then they are simply known as a 'Standard Ammunition Feeding Unit', or S.A.F.U. (Mainly called standard magazines).
