I think that it's a brilliant idea. However, the tests should be randomized in order to maximize the effect of testing them. As someone that's had to draw unemployment for a short period of time after being laid off, I have no worries at all on being drug tested. Hmm, I wonder why the liberals are so afraid of it. Perhaps they are the true bums like the idiot in the video is talking about?

Gingrich is scum, hates welfare, loves foreign aid.. FOREIGN AID IS WELFARE, if we have to spend tax dollars to assist anyone financially I'd rather it be our own people.

@adammagyar government employees are required to take a drug test, sometimes even monthly. which begs the question: "Shouldn't you have to pass a drug test to collect a welfare check if I have to pass one to earn it for you?"

... anyone who actually needs the welfare and hasn't been taking drugs illegally will still receive the government aid. This in no way is assuming that all people on welfare do drugs illegally, it's simply a very useful way of weeding out those that are.
