  • When Special Olympics started in 1968, there were no oppourtunities for people with intellectual disabilities to do anything in the community like sports. The movement has shown the world what these people can do and that they do deserve respect and dignity.

  • @DRSGPercheron i completely agree...she is such a great kid, just by looking at her skating, her parents must be really proud, and those a-holes who are calling her retarded have NO idea how it's like to grow up with down syndrome, and how it affects the family. Keep going Lauren, ur awesome!! =D

  • im sorry but any 3 year old kid whos learning to skate could do that, mental disorder or not shes shit

  • u cut out all the funny parts. basterd ;)

  • I think Lauren is brilliant, hope she is still skating. My 7 year old daighter eleanor has a severe visual impairment and started figure skating in jan 2010. She has done so well and I am very, very proud of what she has managed to achieve so far. these children deserve our respect as they are just as good as anybody else! Well done again Lauren, you are a true star!

  • ur stupid

  • Any idiot who would degrade these people needs to be sentenced to service in this area. You like "Dude, I so trashed retards". You would never have the courage to do what was said you could not. Your laughing. Fine. Be a deadbeat. These kids are given opportunities never before offered and are proud. If you'd quit drinking Bud Light and smoking dope...you'd understand that
