Violinist plays Zigeunerweisen - Gypsy Airs

Her name is unknown to me. This is her perfomance of Zigeunerweisen ("Gypsy Airs") by Sarasate". This is a clip of a documentary Michael Mileham is photographing and directing in Santa Barbara. He needs funding for editing. Four cameras were used. Surround sound digital recording by Delos Music. Violin at it's best!

I like the tempo she is playing at. most are to fast and don't allow you to enjoy each note individually. Her pace is very refreshing.

Beautiful. And you gotta remember that where she is playing at, fast notes would just dissolve in the echoes created by the big space, if she would have played them fast. Nevertheless, it sounds beautiful.

I hate it when people criticize others because it's too fast or slow. It's their own interpretation. Anyone who critiques that way either don't play or they don't play well. Every real musician knows that you can change things around to make it your own.

I believe she does an incredible job here, and as another poster said she allows you to enjoy each note individually.
