i have a nanday and his name is blacky, if he is super friendly to me and cute and says alot of words, then i think nandays are one of the best parrots to have!

my nanday conure is very unfriendly sometimes. he bites and screeches all the time. but sometimes, he will sit in his cage saying wiki wiki wiki bird. & at night, he will say goodnight and say kiss kiss. but during the day, he will bite and screech at everyone.

@roadkill5555556 i am very sorry! i know a way!... hold him close on your chest and try to tame him and wear a sweater or a blanket mine is very tame now and he is as happy as a horse!

About 30" x 40" x 60" Bar spacing is 5/8.
the cage is very big.
Actually the cage is for more like cockatoo, African gray, and etc...
She lives with Sunny, the sun conure.

i wish my nanday would be friendly.. he's very ill-tempered and i've had him for 7 years now. i'm constantly giving him extra attention and everything and he still won't warm up to me :(

The nanday, Banana san is 2 yrs old now.
She is a teenager. behaves aggressively these days...
She is very friendly and cute, but bites me a lot.

How loud are they btw? Apparently uber loud, even if they're on their own? Noise isnt a problem; we live in a detached house, but it IS closed in by houses next to us x

Nanday Conures are known to be a very loud bird.
She is no exception.
My nandy is very loud too.
she screams evey time when she sees and hears me.
kinda say hi. :)
Even though I live in condo, no neighbor has ever complains about that since I got her two years ago.
If you and your family are ready to deal with the grating call, I think Nandays make great pets.
btw my new sun conure is super cute and noisy too...
