Living In Our Vans - USA

Since the beginning of the mortgage crisis one and a half million Americans have lost their homes. With banks repossessing their houses, many have been left no other option than to move into their cars.
The streets of California are now filled with people who call their car their home. Jennifer Clement, explains, "The estimated value of our house went to 120,000 U.S. dollars within a month. After losing all the money, we literally landed on the street and were forced to live in our caravan". It is a vicious circle: Without a job - no home. Without an apartment - no job.

I'd rather live in a vehicle then live in a homeless shelter or the streets. Yeah the situation in the states is that bad.

@Dickie9028 what's wrong with the dog? The overpopulation of animal shelters in california is among the worst in the united states. If she turns the dog in, it'll be put to sleep within days. Sorry if some people have compassion for the ones who can't take care of themselves.

this world could care less about people take the us owning or living in a apt is not a right.. but im sure if everyone lived on the streets then yea..

i blame the industrial revolution and finding oil.. to many people born after that and to many problems it was so much better with less people

@NewUser21111 Homeless shelters are... horrible places. I'm about to be homeless again, but at least now we own a van, so that's way better than nothing..

This is the result of outsourcing, the democrats and the republicans are to blame for it. Who in their right mind thought that giving our jobs to chink chinese would made americans live a better life.
