Talk show host Adam Carolla ripped into Occupy Wall Street protesters as whiny "monsters". The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur explains why he's wrong.

Cenk is spot-on with this analysis.

    Good stuff.

I think Adam is just misunderstanding the point of Occupy Wall Street. It's about wanting to reduce the affect that money has on government. "The 1%" is the wealthiest big business players that have huge impact on government, but don't contribute more than "the 99%" of society to THEIR government, yet they have an unfair amount of control.

Occupy Wall Street doesn't have a point. The people in power are people like George Soros who has a controlling interest in Time Warner and fuels the occupy wall street movement to destroy smaller competition. Same with federal reserve banks, If occupy wall street was really what you stated they would go after the Federal Reserve Banks and not businesses that fuel the US economy. To put it simply Occupy wall street is a bunch of morons with no concept of economics.

Well...unlike the western european and scandinavian countries that have more socialism, higher living standards and greater social mobility than us; healthcare bills are the # 1 cause of bankruptcy in the US and student college debt stands at over $1 trillion dollars, exceeding credit card debt.

The type of socialism you're referring to was the total control planned economies of USSR and Eastern Europe. Trust me, no group wants that outcome. Eastern communism comparisons are just a red heron.

So scratch your own damn needs! You want healthcare, you want education-go get them. Who's stopping you? Nobody is required to provide those things for you, that's absurd. It doesn't make a difference what others make or how easily they provide these things for themselves.

    Fuck Buffet.

You want to talk about what doesn't work in reality, there's no better place to start than socialism. History confirms that. Even the concept of socialism is an abject fucking failure.

Mankind has needs that need to be scratched. We need healthcare, education, a sanitary environment and consumer protections for all. Rich ppl pay for these services out of pocket. Everyone else has assistance. They have 40% of the wealth and incomes flexible enough to pay extra without effecting them at all. How much they invest is based on consumer demand. Warren Buffet dumped his US stocks bc workers r too poor, despite a huge labor pool and low taxes. Supply side doesn't work in reality.

Because pushing Americans to accept wages close to Chinese workers would destroy any equity gained living in America. We'd be another offshore labor haven for companies that break the law. Second of all most of these ppl don't come up with a fucking thing most people want. Otherwise we'd still have a manufacturing base. Finance is the largest sector of our economy. ANd even if you did invent something you owe the country that made it possible by providing charters, roads, and security.
