The start-up sound is the same as that of the Indigo². I never knew that. Also, the lettering on the case looks new. A bit like what was used on the O2+, correct? (I assume this was an O2 of after ~1998-2000).

Correct. This one was made in 2000, and is almost exactly the same case as O2+. O2+ had "+" in logo, and purple color, and ofc "more" powerful hw inside(in fact - only the CPU module was changed)

Its not lininx.
Its IRIX - unix system.
Linux is only imitation of UNIX.. so its close, but not same.
