I'm talking to my mirror image! I would tape it as well on late night PBS. I can still list off every Yokozuna and Ozeki by heart ... not to mention every darn prefecture in the country ;) Good times!

I stopped watching Today's Japan when Karuna left . . . she had a fascinating mix of insecurity and coolness in the early years . . . I started watching the show when Sosuke Uno was Prime Minister!
fun seeing the show's bumpers however; they hadn't changed from when I stopped watching.

Hilarious, I was about to say the same thing...I used to tape Today's Japan each night in the mid 90s just to see her (and the sumo of course...)!!

I always find it funny how Tokyoite gaijin can be dated by whether they call it Metropolis or still refer to it as Tokyo Classifieds.
