On april 3rd 2008 an Antonov 28 of Blue Wing Airlines flew in Suriname into a mountain. Nineteen people were killed. Two weeks later we had a domestic flight in Suriname, with an Antonov 28. Our pilot was the brother of one of the two pilots killed in the accident.
On october 14th 2009 there was another accident, again with an Antonov 28, when during the landing in Kwamelasamutu the aircraft ended beside the airstrip. Four of eight passengers got wounded and the aircraft was heavily damaged. At that time we were in Suriname. Actually, it was at my birthday.
Now, on the 15th of may 2010, again an Antonov 28 of Blue Wing has crashed.
Look at an impression of our flight to Kwamelasamutu and back to "Zorg en Hoop"
It gives a sad and unpleasant feeling...
