@Jarhead1407 After what I have seen - I would NEVER download a tablet interface for a pc - this is Microsoft's attempt to lump every device under one OS umbrella. I will NOT shut up when voicing my opinion because I was ASKED to voice what I thought by the video poster - that's your personal problem if you don't like my opinion and I'm NOT about to be bullied by a pissant the likes of you,

@StraightShooter01 listen to me, it's very apparent you haven't downloaded the consumer preview. I have been using it for about 3 hours and A) your PC is still there. It truly is. Windows 7 is still there, but improved. The Metro actually WORKS now with a keyboard and mouse (it didn't in the dev preview). You go to corners of your screen to navigate and it's extremely fast and intuitive. Please shutup about things you're ignorant about.

DEFINATELY sticking with 7, Will be installing this on VM though. But imagine gaming with windows 8. LAAAG, So much features with sliding and stuff, gaming would be a ton laggier.

I like it.

I don't think this is going to be such a bad thing.
many people complained about the windows 7 start bar being all weird and icon-ey and too different to use properly, but I always thought changes like these are what makes the new windows versions good. I wouldn't go back to the vista start bar right now, it's just harder to use if you ask me.
this looks like the same situation if you ask me. it looks like a big change which makes people freak out. you can always disable it, but I probably won't

its just windows 7 with a little upgrade that looks exactly like windows phones

@Jarhead1407 People hated Vista because MS made a mistake with their security protocols - they did it wrong - answering 3-5 dialog boxes with passwords to move a folder was a bit frustrating for lack of a better word. It wasn't interface. Windows 7 cleaned that up - a clear step in the right direction. This Win 8 version is clearly an over-zealous attempt to get as many tablets phones and PCs under one OS umbrella - this will fail and everyone will hear the thud.

I hate it. I dont want a "phone/tablet" interface forcefed - looks as if Win 7 might be as far as I go - a hard look at Linux is in order once Win 7 is too outdated to run anything. Even if you can "disable" the options - your still installing a lot of crap that has NO business being on a pc. Waste of space and system resources.
this looks like shit what a sucking piece of software... most of us are on desktops and laptops not tablets... this is complete shit
