it's not a true unblockable setup unless you try to escape and fail, but you just blocked?

A bug in the game caused you to 'unblock' for one frame during the ultra flash. If you can time a fireball to connect on that frame, then the fireball will connect due to the bug and likewise the ultra will as well.

This was patched a couple of months ago in SSF4 so it no longer works.

@soggytoast111 its not a bug but u really cannot do this in game..because u wont have a chance to do that in the beginning of the game!

THIS NOT A UNBLOCKABLE

Unblockable in marvel 3 for instance is high low ie. low assist and high attack. in sf4 if you block the tiger shot you'll black the ultra too.

I understand that you can't block this due to some mechanic in the game.. however, I do not play SF so can somebody explain this concept to me? =P

That won't work as player 2 isn't blocking. If player 2 does block the tiger fire ball, the ultra is useless.

@Panesthesia Chun's overhead only hits 3 times if you are standing. I believe it's only 2 hits on a crouching opponent, which is the only time it would matter that it is an overhead. I may be wrong, I haven't played in months.
