@THEHARMONIKZ MAybe the shame of the dwindling low numbers of church goers but anyone under 40 is very much against the hierarchey of the church. Even our Taoiseach (primeminister) verbally lambasted the pope over the summer

I have never heard of the interviewer before listening to this but he seemed pretty good to me. One of the few that appears to have actually read the book.

pederasty means sex between a man and a boy, specifically, paedophilia IS the sexual love of childen, i believe the catholic clergy involved were enthusiastic with both abominations,
-
Pederasty doesn't mean rape and torture of children, Hitch! Paedophile IS the correct term, look it up.

@reilly616 Good to hear, thanks!

@MultiUniv3rsal It's just a technical necessity due to a line in our Constitutin, so nothing political. It will probably be amended this year or next, and then the law will be repealed.

good man hitchens - great question at the end. one that should be repeatedly asked until we get an answer.
i'm irish and this scandal is one we have to aggresively confront now for the sake of our future generations!

Hey you stupid Micks, I'm kidding, Irish brothers and sisters, comrades and friends:
How is that blasphemy law thing going? Has it been or will it likely be repealed?
It hasn't made much noise in the US since it's passing.
We know why Pat cut from that question-he knows that the majority of his listeners will be Catholic and through their obvious brain-washed minds will not accept that their religion is under threat from the secular law abiding citizens that it tries to restrain.

@THEHARMONIKZ The catholic church in Ireland is on its knees . However, non-Irish people dont realise how much power the had up until fairly recently. I dont have to imagine what this country would be like to live under a theocracy, I just ask my parents.
