Action Half-life fun on ahl_villa, 6-09-2006 (part 1 of 2)

Had this lying around on my hard drive since June 2006 and decided to finally split and upload it.

This is a casual two on two teamplay romp on ahl_villa in the Half-Life mod Action Half-Life (AHL), recorded in game by me, pockets, the adjective kitten. The teams are white: pockets, etc. and 4of4[BORG] (the old good one, not the new whiny one) versus black: [FunnyFarm]Varinger and [ARG]blitz. This was recorded during my first baby steps into mp5/laser whorage and it makes me all teary to watch perhaps (mainly because I was for some reason better then). Prior to actually starting Fraps, every shot I took was a headshot but the recording halved my framerate and slowed me down some. The horror. For those not familiar with the game, the wet cracking sound is a headshot. Also, I was apparently listening to The Album Leaf. Nothing special here really, just felt like upping some footage for old timey's sake.

I played TS a bit ages ago but haven't been able to get into it since. Having spent years playing AHL, particularly the last bunch have made me terribly familiar with it almost inside and out. Last time I tried TS, it felt sloppy and confusing. I might be way off base, but AHL feels more solid and rewarding, though if I'd spent more time with TS, I may have gotten the hang of it and enjoyed it. AHL isn't exactly easy to jump into either. In the end, to each his own.

The only good thing about this mod is the style of it. The gunplay is horrible. You can crouch and sit still with a single pistol and shoot and miss every single shot.

There's a big element of randomness to the gun mechanics, but there are ways to reduce stray bullets. Crouching isn't even the most accurate state. As far as I know, it goes diving which is near 100% accuracy with pistols and the SMG, prone, crouching, standing, walking, running. Something like that anyways. Guns just flat out get less reliable at range, but strap a laser to them and your opponents can kiss their faces goodbye. As their lips go sailing past their cheeks. Splat.

It is very possible to be disgustingly accurate in this game, it's just a matter of figuring out how. I prefer to think of the guns as less random and more "nuanced".

Most of the people who still play have been playing for a number of years now. It's not easy to learn, but it's fun.

@AndyMcArren1356 If you have a bank-account you can buy on Steam the complete Half-Life pack,which includes also the original Half Life allowing you to instal this mod,the most stylish,cheering up online game. My account was also stolen,I made a stupid mistake,(don't tell your password to ANYONE),but the extraordinary fair Steam Support team made justice and gave it back to me after I showed to them the proof that the games were mines.Rejoin the Action. @0Francine0 It's extraordinary and unique,there is the stunt-jumping allowing extremely spectacular avoidance moves,when you are attacked,stunt-jump the rise up and shot back with deadly accuracy,If you stay on the ground too much you can get head-shotted. Depending on your creativity and experience,the real way to knowledge it's experience,your gameplay can be a state-of-the-Art-Action. Funny Var for instance,can stunt-jump and instantly deadly slash right after the jump. Have patience to learn

Most of the servers are located in the USA so you should check them out during their night-time zone,-D.
