iphone IS an itouch with extra features (there is an option to switch to "ipod touch" mode except there are more features that appeal to older people with fulltime jobs. if your a schoolaged guy, dont waste your money on iphone get an itouch instead.

Jailbreaking will void your warranty but restoring your iPod instantly will revalidate it. It your iPod touch is frozen get a tool like ZiPhone and put it in recovery mode so you can restore it. You also SAVE money because you can just download the iPhone apps instead of buying them from Apple.
