Taking an otherwise very non-rock crawling oriented Ramcharger and let'n 'er rip. Bounced around a lot & winched a bit but boy was it fun!

  • Are those dana 60s putting up with 5500 pound ramcharger abuse? What size swampers are those? Looks about to be 38-40..... What gear?

  • D60/D70 with 4.56s & lock-rights

    39.5" swampers

never failed me... but I'm doing a current ramcharger build on 49" IROKs - plan on using a set of rockwells I've been squirreling away for years for this 'new' project tho...

  • 8 inches of blocks on the rear will one day come apart in a KABOOM that will be awsome

  • @kookooforkarma - power steering pump working hard slipping the single V belt running it etc. or maybe it wasn't tight enough??? 8-)

  • wow man your rig is sik.....STAND ON IT!!! yeah !!!

  • wow ... got any pictures of what it looked like after you were done at tellico?

i'll bet those jeep 'tards were glad you were there to pull them home :)

  • so then you'll be willing to sell me that 60 and 70 at good price right? =D I'll even throw in my d44 and corp 9.25 with 4.56s and detroit c-locker.... I'll keep dreamin' lol (the ol' 44 ain't likin' the 37s too much)

  • hey good deal! I'm probably going to sell my D60/D70 combo w/4.56s and Lock Rights soon... I'm building a 1990 ramcharger on 49" IROKs and rockwell axles...

The D60/D70 don't have 15k miles on them... D60 was out of a military CUCV chevy - D70 was the rear out of an 89 dodge 1ton chassis cab truck - neither truck had over 8k miles when I pulled the axles etc. I'm guessing I probably put 5k+ miles on those axles in the ramcherger etc.

  • ramchargers are made for the mud and rough on the rocks, this is impressive.
