I guess you've never had the plesaure of taking exams while sitting on the desks he's refering to. College sports (div 1 in particular) have no place at an IT school, especially one the size of NJIT. Why should we care about something that benefits the few? The only return we've had from sports is bad publicity.

HAHAHAHAHA! Our basketball team blows! Who the hell cares though. Nobody cares about sports at NJIT except maybe the players and the coach. Why do we even have a basketball team? Maybe we should get rid of it and put the budget to better use towards something that most students would actually appreciate. Like what? I don't know. How about better desks that actually fit adults and regular sized notebooks! I had bigger desks in grammar school!

@RBNY123 Ever heard of Evansville university, or the University of South Dakota, these schools moved to Division I after being very succesful in Division II. So have alot of other schools that moved from Division II to division I that were terrible in their former division. NJIT is not going to be on the map, they will remain in obscurity. The only thing they will have acheived is spending more money on athletics.

I go there and trust me most people on campus dont even know we have sports except for the people who play.

Actually before people would question what and where is NJIT. Nowadays people know us by our horrible basketball team

I play basketball with Kraig Peters at LA Fitness. He is a good basketball player. Just was on a bad team with poor coaching.

all you haters will be rooting for NJit in a few years when they start winning games. There is alot for a newly promoted division 1 team to deal with. Njit is playing experienced opponents and although the school is using alot of money building an athletic program, in the long run NJIT will benefit from a competative athletic program.
