I've just taken delivery of a TC Helicon Harmony G-XT, As I was itching to try it out I plugged it in, picked up a guitar, fiddled with a few settings on the harmony pedal, perched myself precariously on the end of the bed , and played something. Here's an (admittedly far from perfect) attempt at Leonard Cohen's Famous Blue Raincoat from my intial what can this pedal do experiments.

  • Thanks for your kind comment Joey. I set the GXT on default FX with just tone switching to a single octave harmony for the choruses. seemed the most appropriate for the song . Had to tweak the harmony levels down lower than I would have liked as on octave any slight rattle in my throat, which I could get away with at a lower register became quite noticable and jarring screech when pushed up an octave. I still have a lot to learn to wrpa my head around recording but I'm loving the G-XT pedal.

  • Really enjoyed checking this out Logan! I think I can hear some octaves in there?

Loved how you sold the lyric to the listener - nice vocals!

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon
